Micah Berner was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio. At the age of 13 Micah got a guitar and taught himself to play, soon after he decided to try piano. When Micah started playing piano, music just started to come together for him. Micah played piano in churches growing up. After graduating from Kenton Ridge High School he attended Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio where he earned a degree in Classical Piano Performance. Micah is currently the Music Minister for Grace Fellowship Church in New Carlisle, Ohio.( http://www.wittenberg.edu/academics/music/alumni.html)
Micah says he gets his inspiration from many styles and musicians, his performances may include classical piano pieces, Jazz, Spiritual and contemporary songs (original and covered).
Micah also enjoys writing his own songs even at times when he says it can be hard work and frustrating. He enjoys more cerebral song-writing with originality from musicians who put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into their music.
He has played in a wide variety of venues over the years and can be seen on most Friday and Saturday nights at Cecil and Lime Restaurant in Springfield.
